I just had my sleeve yesterday. When I drink any liquid I feel a pressure when it hits the diaphragm area right under my breast. I am drinking slowly and small sips. Is this normal? Any suggestions? Thanks so much!!!

Try warm water. Goes down WAY easier. I still prefer plain water at least as warm as room temperature and Im nearly 7 months out.

Before my surgery every drink I enjoyed had to be FILLED with ice! Now I drink my water at room temperature. I would never, ever thought I would be able to do that but it's more comfortable than icy cold.

Did you have a hiatal hernia repair? I did and when I was first post-op, every time I swallowed liquid I felt the pressure at the top of my stomach and then again at the bottom of my stomach. It went away in four or five days when some of the swelling went down.

They thought I had a hiatal hernia to repair, but when they got in there found their wasn't one. So I didn't end up having anything fixed there. Thanks for the response.
