3 days post op gas pains

I had surgery Monday morning. Felt pretty good that day and yesterday. Today Im having stabbing pains in my chest. they don't last long. These are gas pains right? any tips or tricks? How many days can I expect this?

Sounds like the gas pains to me. Mine tended to be more in the upper left shoulder area which is a common occurrence. I don't have much advice on tips/tricks because all I did was tough it out. The pain faded a bit each day and were gone within a week.

sounds like gas pains to me. Walking helped me a lot. It didnt last long for me. Good luck!

Ditto to Toni.

Walk as you can and get your water in.

For me, the doctor added a stitch to correct a hernia and said I may have back pain.

All this plus your meds may be wearing off a bit.....

Good luck and it will pass pretty fast.

sounds like gas walking and a heating pad do wonders , If they don't go away soon call your surgeon to make shore they are not anything else

expect some really bad bruises on you belly in a day or so , lots of people get them and some surgeons forget to warn you about them
