Protein oatmeal...not bad!

So I found an oatmeal in a cup ( microwaveable) that had 6 grams of protein..
Picked some up to try...followed directions..put a thermometer in, made sure it was under 150 degrees ( I believe protein breaks down at 160 degrees) added 1/2 scoop of protein powder (12 gr pro) a splash of milk and a shake of cinnamon...
Not bad at all...little high in carbs for me at 40 grams, but I'm running around today big time and probably won't eat again till about 4, so I figured it was OK...
I think it's good to keep on hand for a change up or on busy days where I know I'm missing a meal..but not as a habit.....

I just tried sugar free oatmeal added to my plain yogurt but i do need to go back and check the carbs but once in a blue moon like you said a change

Sounds good! My nut said absolutely no hot cereal, but darn it, I had been starving lately, and I was so burned out with just having yogurt, cottage cheese, and eggs, so I had 4oz. of Malt-O-Meal. The carbs are not as high as the oatmeal. Like you, my plan is to only eat as a one-day change up.
