I'd like to know how long it took for you to have your first bowl movement after surgery?

As soon as I got home....day after surgery! I have had no problem, but I am also taking a gummie probiotic everyday, so I'm sure that helps!

5'5" 64 year old; HW 219; SW 199; CW 129; GW 145ish (original)...now on to "ideal" (138)...got that...now a few spare (132)...got that one, too! Now for the 120's!! Made them...now for the "dream" weight...125! Well, that one's proving to be a little tougher!

I do gummy vitamins...OK with surgeon.

Many gummy vitamins (like Flinstones) are woefully incomplete. So I hope you've found one that is complete!

Gwen, this is exactly what our NUT told us today at WL support group meeting. Gummies are not recommended. But she did say Adult Flinstones complete were ok for the first few weeks after surgery.

For me it was a few days I believe it's when the anesthesia gets out of your system lol drink as much as possible !

I had the opposite problem. And rushing to the toilet wasn't easy when you were sore and half-drugged.

12 days. And it took 2 days of Milk of Magnesia in order to get results. Yuck.

I did the day after surgery. I was stocked with Milk of Magnesia and Miralax for when I got home. I'll be three weeks this Friday and I haven't had to use them yet.
