Cost of Plastic Surgery...

Quick question... what the cost of abdominal skin removal/ tummy tuck for plastic surgery?

I heard about $5000 but it is different everywhere some go to Mexico to save money

You're asking two different questions.  Strict "skin removal" of the panni is a different and less expensive surgery than a true tummy tuck.  And you can have a mini-tuck, a regular tuck or an extended tummy tuck.  All will have different prices.  

The price for surgery will vary broadly depending upon the type of procedure, your surgeon, the going rates in your part of the country, where the doctor does the surgery (outpatient or inpatient), anesthesia required, etc.

So you see...not really any quick answers to your quick question

I wasn't clear.  I do now the surgeon I first met with said he wanted to cut all the way around and recommended 2 procedures.  I'll circle back with the name of the procedure.  He quoted $16K in Dallas.  Seemed high.

Sounds like a lower body lift, and $16k does not seem high at all.  Especially if they are doing any sculpting while pulling all the loose skin together.

Yeah.  They cut all the way around and they pull the top and bottom together and smooth everything out.  Its a big procedure and often ends up with some lipo sculpting and takes quite a bit of time.  Its normal for this to cost a lot, but keep in mind it is doing the job of approx 3 other procedures.

You're talking a full lower body lift!  That's an entirely different procedure and much more extensive than a tummy tuck.

My LBL is going to take 7 hours with 2 nights in the hospital. $16K is a good price.
