For the first two weeks post op, I weighed more than the day I had surgery!  Things even out over time, so just keep doing what you're supposed to be doing.

Surgery is not magic and does not make weight disappear instantly. After the first few weeks, most folks do a steady 1 - 2 lb per week, with occasional stalls and slowdown along the way. Around here, most people seem to reach goal in about a year.

You might want to temper your expectations because your weight loss will slow down dramatically, and soon.

Do you mean it slows down more?

Absolutely. Many people lose quickly in the first few weeks, but after that it's down to a few pounds a month.

Ahh 12 pounds lost in a week, oh the memories.  Ya gotta chill, chill, chill! You just got out of surgery, your body is still healing. Weight loss does slow down but like someone else mentioned does it really matter how fast you get there? You will get there, but if you're feeling down now, you might have to change your expectations cuz stalls & weight loss slowing down does happen, you can't let it get to you.

Chin up, concentrate on the positive. Remember your tool doesn't have an expiration date on it. Your tool will keep working for you as long as you keep using it properly. Good luck to you.

No one surgery is better than the other, what works for one may not work for another. T-Rebel
