Feeling like I will never lose weight...

I lost 20 lbs in the first ten days...then spent my third week in the hospital on IV antibiotics for the infection that was using up all my nutrients. Definitely not something you want.

12 lbs is great! Let me put it this way: I'm just over a year out and have lost about 12 lbs over the past couple weeks. My 7 lb son was born 5/2, lol. The rest was amniotic fluid, etc. 

When you look back a year from now, you won't have any idea how much you lost each week.  I couldn't tell you how much I lost without physically looking it up.  In the blink of an eye, you will be nudging close to your goal weight and wonder how you lost so much in such a short amount of time.  I'm almost 17 months out and some days it seems like just yesterday that I had my surgery and now I don't remember even being a 355 pound woman.  My co-workers tell me the same thing!  I look at pictures to bring myself back to reality of where I've been.  My body is finally evening out and it's harder to lose the last 20 I would like to lose, but I'm past where I told my doctor I would like to be when I started the process and I'm VERY happy with that!  The main thing is that you are actually LOSING WEIGHT and it will never be the same again!  Congratulations on beginning your journey!

Easier said than done but my doc told me to stay away from the scale until my first post op follow up with him after 2 weeks. I was bummed out that I lost 6 lbs ( i believe I lost 19 during the 2 week liquid) ever since then i only got weighed every monthly visit, but I have to admit since hitting a year post op i got a scale and have been a slave to it ð??" im starting to think I should get rid of it.
