Doing well but have a few questions or want to know if anyone had the same experience. I am still on full liquids at this point and if I drink too fast the pain is not in my stomach area but the lower right side. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it sound like something I should be concerned about? Also feel like my abdomen is abnormally swollen. Looks like I could be pregnant lol. Just concerned that I may be doing something wrong. Any thoughts or advice appreciated. Thanks

The swelling is likely from gas - are you walking? Walk as much as you can and this will help release the gas that was used during surgery.

I'd ask your surgeon about the pain.

I had pain on the lower right side, near my bellybutton, for several weeks. I felt like I'd done hundreds of sit-ups!

I asked my surgeon, and he said that was where they do the most complicated internal suture, so it's normal to be sore. He recommended tylenol and a heating pad, which helped a lot.

I'm 2 days post op and I agree about the heating pad! I'm sitting here with one across my belly right now.

The more you walk, the better you'll feel and the sooner the swelling will go away.

And don't forget to sip, sip, sip! If you wait until you're thirsty you are way too late.
