5 years out and still in the 160's

Hard to believe that 5 years ago I had the gastric bypass (after living  over 7 years at 300 lbs and 15 years over 200 lbs).   I got as low as 159 lbs (size 6 for me).  But I have maintained in the 160's since the surgery.

I just realized this is the first time in my life I am wearing out my clothes!  I am stablized about about a size 10, which is just fine with me.   Life is good.

Good luck to all that are contemplating the surgery or have just had it.  The first two weeks post-op are the roughest!   After that it as much better.  I lost all the weight in about 10 months.

That's wonderful!!!  I'm hoping to hear by Oct 13 if my surgery was approved and hope to be just like you!  Thank you for the tip about the 1st 2 weeks, I have been educating myself on the surgery for the past few months and want to know everything!

Keep up the great work!
