Hearburn/Reflux

I'm about 4 1/2 years out from gastric bypass surgery. In the last week I have had 2 episodes of extreme heartburn/reflux in the middle of the night.  It wakes me up about 3 hours after I go to bad and continues to bubble all night.  I have not had this issue since before surgery.  I am going to see my Doc on Monday, but does anyone have any ideas?  I have been complication free for 4 1/2 years, watch very carefully what I eat (on Weigh****chers) and now I'm worried something is wrong.

I'm not sure what your issue is, but a couple of things that help my reflux is... no gum or peppermint of any kid, don't eat within 2 hours of lying down, lay off spicy food, dairy can aggrevate it.

Stress can also play a big role in flare ups so you may need to find a way to deal with it to help your tummy.

Good luck!
