Well, this study suggests it may... http://www.kmov.com/news/consumer/Study-finds-diet-soda-caus es-weight-gain-137354423.html
For the record, I do not drink carbonated beverages, and I really do not care what others drink... We're all adults and can be responsible for our own decisions.

It gives me more carb cravings than eating rich desserts. Eating something too sugary at least satisfies my sugar cravings. Drinking Diet Coke seems to intensify cravings and I am hunting down something sweet.
This is only my personal experience, but I seem to not have a problem with the ones that have no caffeine and none of the brown coloring. That might be because I can stop at one Diet 7-Up. With Diet Coke, I end up drinking six or eight bottles a day.

I started adding some diet sodas back into my life over a year ago. I am over 4 yrs out and so far I haven't gained any weight back. If I see the # creeping back up on the scales then I will go back to basics. I have a 5 lb gain rule....if I gain 5 I lose 5! lol
Guess sodas are different for everyone......
My newest "fix".....Diet Mtn. Dew!
