Just referred to Ottawa Hospital

HI Everyone,

I'm new of coarse. I have just been referred to the Ottawa Hospital for possible bariatric surgery (RNY). Luckily I have been introduced to this REAL website for help and support. A friend on here gave me the tip and has also been through the surgery last year. I'm very ready for this journey but am saddened to hear about the wait that is ahead of me should everything go as planned or not. Does anyone have any advice as to what I can do to better prepare myself. I'm so afraid I will lose more control this year in hopes that I will be approved for the surgery.

Unfortunately the wait is long!  I would say to start tracking your food intake just so that you can get an idea of what certain foods are worth nutrition wise.  Oh and read as muchas you can on here, you'll learn a lot!  C'mon over to the Ontario board, if you like, its a great one!
