Lap Band or Sleeve?

 Your second thoughts are valid - go with them.
YES, I think the sleeve is better.
-It's permanent
-You don't need to get ongoing maintenance (fills, unfills)
-You'll be able to tolerate healthy foods
-Reduction in hunger hormones
-No erosion or slippage, or other common needs for emergency surgery with the band.

I've had a band for over 4 yrs so not a starry eyed newbie and I'd never advise anyone to get a band unless you are really fond of pain and vomitting! The sleeve removes the stretchy part of the stomach so rarely stretches much after surgery. The band is a joke, I lost a whopping 20 lbs with it! I could have and have lost more than that myself. After a few years scar tissue starts building up and then the problems begin and you don't even want to deal with them. Many many bandsters have revised to the sleeve because their bands have failed. So you're better off to just start with the sleeve and avoid the crap band!

 I've been banded 6 years... I've had no issues.  The band was the best thing I ever did.
