Not sure what kind of encouragement you are looking for, but I find lots of that here. You would need to post what is going on that is making you feel down though. Your message is just down. I'm not sure how you expect people to help. And you can have friends here, but you have to participate. You only get what you put in.

I agree with Missmomo. What kinds of problems are you having?  How can we help?

ok seven yrs ago i missed my goal weight by 25 lbs struggled all this time off and on, now i am 38 from goal weight and had blood work done again i am low on iron, b12 and stuff like that all from not doing my meds, i also have trouble walking very far, i have lost muscle, so now back on protein, and vits. all will get better i know but support would be great Husband is not good support just tells me i should do what i am suppose to and deal with it LOL if only he knew. it has always been hard for me because no matter what my goal weight is 175 i will never be a small woman, i think i am afraid that if i make that goal i will not be any happier or better off. I hope u understand what i mean pre op i was 275 i do feel better and look better but i am having issues so trying to get back on the boat LOL  I really want to make it this time.....was hoping to find help and support here, this site is diff than when i was last on so maybe that is part of my issue i just dont know

Hi JenJen,

Reading your post was sad for me because I sense that you are a woman that needs the sort of answers you're likely not going to find here.  While we can be supportive, we cannot be much more than that.

If you are never going to be small than this is something you're going to have to deal with.  No different than someone short wanting to be taller, or someone taller wanting to be shorter.

You have been given the body you have and it's totally up to you how you choose to deal with it.  You can either moan and lament about what you would like to have, or you can choose to make the best of what you do have...

The best support I feel I can offer to you is to suggest that you meet with a therapist to help you see your way through this because I strongly suspect there is much more going on here than merely weight related.

As an "old woman," I can assure you that making your goal weight is not going to make you suddenly happy or better off.  Happiness is an "inside" job, so that's where you really need to be doing the work.

Wishing you a successful journey to finding your happy...

You don't say what surgery you had but if it was RNY, you will find that the surgery board is still very active with lots of newbies, middlers and vets (I'm 8 years out).

You will get more advice and support there than on this forum, just because there is more traffic and I'm sure it's the same for the other surgery boards ...

It's too bad that was your experience.  Mine was much different.  I've met many people out here in real life and made some life-long friends and learned much more 'beyond basics'.
