what does it mean?

My insurance told surgical coordinator an answer was due today (5 business days after submission), but now they changed their story and report my case was forwarded to the insurance's physician.  What does it mean?

Does it mean he's going to really look at my case and clinicals, or that he is just going to write up a denial after he pulls a loophole out of his butt?

It just left nurse review to internal physician review

Just got off phone with ins... they said for RNY, it commonly goes to the dr. for review.  For some reason, it was hung up with the screening nurse first. ARghghghg.
