To help my skin shrink

I had my surgery on April 16th and the shrinking has begun, however I started at near 300 pounds. Any ideas for supplements or skin creams to help my shin keep up with the shrinking so I don't look like a six year old playing dress-up in my own skin?

I hate to break it to you, but topical treatments don't do much to tighten skin. I started at 280 and am 140 now, and the extra skin isn't too bad. If you work out, you'll gain some muscle definition as you lose fat, and that can give you a more toned appearance.

Many patients consider plastic surgery to tighten or remove excess skin after they are a couple of years post-op.

I have found that for smooth skin appearance, plain Aveeno daily moisturizer is wonderful. I use it on my tattoos every day and it's kept them looking very nice.

I've been using ItWorks wraps and gel. I have liked my results so far, but I am presurgery. I plan to use them after surgery to hopefully keep my skin tight as I lose the weight. You can message me if you want more info on them

All the money you intend spending on creams, supplements, wraps and such like - put it in a jar marked "plastic surgery" because everything else is just a waste of your money!!!

Stretched skin is permanently damaged, so don't waste your money.  It can, however, be nicely concealed thanks to the lycra undergarments available today.  It creates a wonderful illusion for me.  Hubby calls it Ft.Knox

I started my weight loss journey at 435 lbs and now at 175 I have some excess skin but I have seen shrinkage from using coconut oil as a moisturizer and wearing compression garments to hold the skin in place. So many people say topical stuff doesnt work but it does a lot if you keep up with it.

My heaviest was 450 lbs which a truck scale told me so in 2007 I decided I had to change. I lost about 125 lbs over the next year but in 2009 I got pregnant with my first child and took the best care of myself I knew how which lead to me losing weight and getting down to 280.  But that was short lived and with in about 4 months I was back to 325 and pregnant again. I lost again but again was quickly gaining when I asked for help from my doctor.  I met my bariatric surgeon for a consult on June 26 2011 and on September 13 2011 I had gastric sleeve.  Since then I have lost 134 lbs and had another child.  Currently I eat "Clean" and do not take any type of medication or vitamin.  My body is healthy and strong, I get all the vitamins and calcium I need from my diet and my doctors are happy with my success and lifestyle changes and so am I.  My goal was always to be healthy so I wanted a healthy weight based on BMI.  My goal weight was 164lbs.  I surpassed that and got to 150lbs but was too skinny and now am comfortable around 160.

People will be more than happy to take your money for lotions, potions, wraps, and pills but none work.  Just think 'scam' and move on to save money for plastics.
