Does anybody know about UHC Medicaid Louisiana?

I have to go to the seminar and meet the surgeon, but I have been looking up the insurance United Health Care Medicaid policies. The hand book says it is Obesity Treatment including Surgery  is Covered with prior authorization, BUT no one can tell me what the requirements are. I would like to know I mean before I go to the seminar. Anyone know a little more. Does this mean I don't have to do the 6 month thing I have heard about?????

Too soon to tell either way. You need to keep digging for the equivalent of your summary plan document. That will have all the details. Your surgeons office may be able to help you navigate this.

A good surgeons office will help you navigate your ins. requirements!  For me, I had a 12 month pre op program.  The office had to actually submit me for surgery approval, just so they could deny it, and that got the ball rolling for my program. 

The seminar  I went to, they had gotten my ins. info before hand, and had all the steps lined out for me when I got there.
