Finally after almost 4 years, and my recent car accident, I am cleared and approved for Gastric Bypass!!! My date is Monday August 12, 2013!!!

I can't wait for that day to come, though I remember how that first week was for my wife. She said its worth all the pain. She lost 120lbs. She is my support and inspiration.

Good for you. I had a long wait before I got my surgery, I switched jobs after going 9 months through a weight loss clinic, then another 6 more months preparation with the new insurance and change in physician. I like to think I was really prepared and ready. I had a pretty smooth transition post op. I am still learning about my new stomach and how to get all the fluids in and eat healthy. Good luck and return to this forum for any help or emotional support you need. This is a very special web site.
