Hello every one, I have been looking up some information about getting a Gastric Sleeve surgery done. ( I am 5'11 and 280 pounds) I was wondering if any one knows if "Tricare" or "UPMC For You" would cover the surgery?

Contacting your insurance directly and asking them if they cover sleeve surgery would give you the most accurate answer. If you have specific questions about the sleeve, the best place to ask those would be in the VSG forum. Good luck!

Alright thank you!

I figured that, not able to use the telephone for a little bit because of an accident, so was just wondering if any one else knew.
Thank you and have a nice day! :)

HELL YES THEY DO lol

I am tricare and so is everyone in my support group kiss You need to have 40BMI or a 35 BMI with comorbidies.

Contact your PCP and set up an appointment to discuss being placed in the bariatric pathway. He/she will give you the referral to attend a bariatric surgery seminar. The from there you will have 6 months to complete the classes and weight management.
