You should probably create a separate post for your question since it has nothing to do with the topic of this thread.  You will get more responses that way.  (Did your surgeon not tell you what you should be eating/drinking post op?!?)

Although diarrhea is extremely common during the immediate post-op period after a RNY (the first couple of weeks), chronic diarrhea doesn't just "happen" because of the surgery a year afterward.

Is it accompanied by any intestinal cramping or gas or nausea?

I would first look at what you are eating.  Some people become lactose intolerant months after surgery, so I suppose it is possible that it could happen a year later. Have you by any chance increased the amount of dairy you eat?  What about processed or "white" carbs (especially white flour products like bread or pretzels)?  Too many can cause gas and/or diarrhea.

Have you started any new medications or vitamins, or have you switched brands of any of your vitamins?

If it has been going on for several months and it isn't anything you are ingesting, you should see your physician.
