Hello,

I'm pre-op, I don't have a date yet, but if all goes well, in September I'll be able to pick my date/surgeon. What I'm wondering is, what people  were eating leading up to the 2-4 weeks of Optifast consumption. I have met with the Dietitian and other than giving some tips on portion control and time management, they didn't have a ton of input. Pairing Proteins with carbs, but the figuring it out is completely up to me ... which isn't a problem, the internet is a fantastic tool. So I'm wondering, what were some changes to your diet that you made, and did you have any favourite balanced meals or snacks?

Before my official pre-op diet started, I started swapping out the meals I didn't eat with people (normally breakfast and lunch) for protein shakes.  It was a good transition for me.
