on my Ticker thingy, I dont know if i might have cheated on my weight loss amount, because I COUNTED what i lost during the preOp diet phase BEFORE surgery. I figure weight loss is weight loss....do i need to go back in and change it since some of that loss has not been AFTER my surgery?   OH the GUILT...lol

Weight loss before surgery is still weight loss

Weight loss is weight loss!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Sirens blaring...here come the ticker police to write you a ticket!

Seriously, count every pound lost bc you started the journey with a decision not with surgery! Good luck.

It counts because if you had not had surgery, you would have gained it back.

It counts.  I used to have my ticker set at the weight I was before I started my preop diet.  I recently changed it to reflect my high weight.  I had lost weight during the six months that my insurance required prior to surgery so I figure all pounds matter.

When people would asked me how much I've lost, I used to have three numbers in my head - high weight, preop diet weight and surgery day weight.  It's just easier calculating my weight loss based on one number.

A lot of us do what geek did -- loss since high weight, consult weight, surgery weight. After a while, we tend to only remember loss since high weight.
