Fat Clothes In Your Closet?

I got rid of them mainly because I have an extremely small closet and I just didn't have room for them.

Also, I buy almost all my clothes at thrift stores so I didn't have a big investment in them.  In fact, at the end I only work sweat pants that I wore from 150 lbs to 220 lbs, starting with them being very loose and ending with them being very tight.  I had managed to regain those 70 lbs in a matter of months and I was in complete denial about it.  I figured if I avoided the scale and didn't get new clothes it much not be that bad.  Same with the T shirts I wore.  Tossing those things was not a big deal.

I figured that if I regained weight again, like I did in the past, I could always get more things in the thrift store.

As it is, my problem now is that I've stayed the same size and having low closet space that means if I get anything new I have to get rid of things I don't wear.  I pretty much feel like I rent my clothes.  I buy them, wear them for a while and then take them back to the thrift store and get more clothes.

Also, this is the first time I have ever experienced wearing out clothes and not growing out of them.

Some of us keep the same clothes and look all our lives. I love this idea of switching out your clothes and looks.  Congratulations on your weight loss!

I kept a pair of my 5x jeans and the 5x blouse I wore the day of surgery so I could be reminded of what I don't ever want to be wearing again.

I have been giving away all my clothes to my good friend who just had her RNY surgery in October, and now she is passing them along to another who needs them!

This past weekend I bought a pair of jeans, size 4!! Omg! My tops are now a small as well.

I love the idea of helping other WLS members as they lose.  WE all know if we were losing weight we are not going to stay in one size too long and it's expensive to buy a new size that we are going to be out of in a few weeks...  Kudos to you

I have a bunch, mostly because I don't want to just give them away.  I just can't get my stuff together to put them on eBay.

If you don't find the time, try giving them away to battered women's shelter...
