Not at all.

I had no pre-op diet (just nothing after midnight)

I had progressed through liquids and soft food in the hospital and released to eat solids when I came home, sticking first to moist and tender options.

No -- I had no pre-op diet except to refrain starting at midnight prior to my surgery.

Post op -- clear liquids for 2 days, full liquids for 5 days

Soft foods for a week -

Regular diet as tolerated from that point on

I will add though. Regular foods as tolerated does not include oats, crackers, mashed potatoes, farina...(at least for both of my surgeons and their plans).

All of us are high protein and low carb. We do eat our protein but in meats eggs and cheeses and eat low carb.

We were all instructed to fill our tiny pouches and sleeves with proteins first and then if there was any room a little bit of vegetables.

Also preop diets are at the surgeons request. Usually BMI plays a factor in those decisions.

That is what I had.  Clear liquid pre-op.  I was not allowed salad for 90 days, but the rest is very similar.

Similar, but the no bacon would have been a deal breaker

less time on clear liquid though, but 10 days of full liquids, 10 purée, 10 sift, then to full as tolerated.
