Am I The Only One or Is Anyone Getting Them Too?

Is anyone getting friend requests in their PM to reply back to that person's e-mail address? Today makes the 2nd or 3rd time since March 6th. Plus on their profile their BMI is crazy high, with an BMI that high you'll be dead. One person that they want me to reply back to their e-mail have a BMI of 14,222.2 and the friend request that I got this morning (March 20th) have a BMI of  486.7. What should I do? Should I just "block", "report", ignore it, or all of the above. The person that sent a friend request to my PM and this person thinks that OH.com is a "dating site". Just wondering what to do and if this is going on with anyone else on this site.

Block, ignore and report.  Probably some Chinese group scamming for personal information  or trying to hijack your computer.  

A peril of having a public profile.   If you want to stop this, make your profile friends only - simple!  

If you want to keep it public, just delete any dodgy PM's after reporting them to OH

I got a few of them too.  I just deleted them and made my page visible only to friends.

Unfortunate,ly. this happens every once in a while.  Just block and report as suggested earlier.

As hard as we try to prevent spam accounts once in a while they get by us and the community helps us by reporting these PMs.  If this happens the best course of action is to click the spam and abuse option to the left in your messages and then delete the message. This reports the account and spam message to Obesityhelp and they remove the account.

Hi Kathy,

I can see that, this is the first time in a long time that this happen the last time to me...while since I started on this site. This good to know if this happens again in the future, but the two that I got in a week or some. I did put a block on the two. In a way I want to unblock the two then go to the "Spam And Abuse" then put a block on the two again. I'll keep this in mind for the future.

How would I unblock a block so I can report it?

Go to MY OH, friends and click the option where it says blocked. Let us know the user  names of the accounts and we can take action if  they have not been de-activated already.
