egg question for puree stage

I know eggs can be eaten during the puree phase. I'm unclear about the limitations on the prep that fall under puree. Scrambled? Egg salad? Over easy?thanks

I would stick with scrambled and dont overcook them. Keep them loose so that they are moist. Start with that and see if you can tolerate them.

My surgeon's plan included scrambled eggs cooked but "loose" so they aren't too dry, over easy eggs, poached, egg salad was okay as long as the hard boiled egg were chopped in fairly small pieces.  Make sure to chew well.

I remember eating my first scrambled egg - it was so delicious after being on liquid for so long.  Enjoy!

Counting the days until purée stage. Monday is my day. I don't know if it will agree with me but it doesn't matter - it will be the greatest scrambled egg of my life! LOL

thanks for the post and replies.

Same here, Christine! I've never looked forward to an egg so much in my life.  The liquid stage hasnt been as bad as I thought, but I would like to actually chew.  I am also getting bored with soups.

I'm still on clear liquids but get to go to full liquids on Tuesday. Who knew I'd be looking forward to yogurt and thin cream of wheat. I just want something not cold.

Eggs would seem nice, soft, and ideal. But a lot of people have trouble with eggs early out. I don't know why, but they seem to get stuck easily. Go slow, and be prepared to stop.

I love eggs and looked forward to eating one when I got to the pureed stage and than it just wouldn't go down right.  Now i'm fine with them.

My Nut said to puree them (in blender) with a little milk or melted cheese and then reheat. Says most people that have problems doen't really puree - just eat them scrambled.
