My surgery is scheduled! woohoo!

My sleeve surgery is scheduled for October 8th. Woohoo! I'm excited but also nervous. I am excited for the change and nervous because its a huge change! I also keep wondering how its going to feel having a banana sized stomach. I've been waiting for this day to come for the last 6 months. It seems like its been years. My goal is to lose 145 pounds. I am looking forward to getting rid of back pain, knee pain and being able to walk without needing to sit down every 5 feet. I'm getting my life back and I am so ready!

I would really like to know if the day after surgery is as tough as I'm told by my surgeons office. I understand that its major surgery but I had gall bladder (removal) surgery and I was back to work in 4 days. I would love to hear from the forum. Thanks Everyone :-)

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery Lisa! It's normal to be scared. I was holding on to the doorway as they wheeled me out. LOL but it was the best thing I ever did for me. Since you are having the sleeve don't why don't you post this on the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Forum, to reach out to those that are having the same surgery type as you.

Thanks Kathy! I appreciate your response. I'm glad I'm not the only one to experience this nervousness. Thanks for the links too! My last surgery (gall bladder removal) was done as an emergency surgery so there was no time to think or prepare. I will most certainly post after surgery.

Best,

Lisa
