Everything you mention is temporary - it will get better.

My surg's office is very responsive and they did not call me - but I got a quick appointment when something felt weird.

i DO hate whiny people, but i am SO discouraged. Still have a terrible looking stomach, all purple.  I was awake for about an hour and a half in the middle of the night, and this morning, barely made it out of the shower i was s o weak. i'm just so discouraged. I wanted to walk, but just cant manage it at all.

Seems strange that the surgeons office hasnt called to check on my progress, since i did have a bleed from my spleen during the VSG. just a bad day. a setback. is this normal?

yes it's normal

Darn, I hate to hear that you had a spleen bleed during surgery. Your spleen is very very VERY vascular so it is normal that your purple all over, you poor dear, we are here to support each other through the good bad and ugly your not being whiny. You've had a tough time .

I am six weeks post op, and I can tell you that it does get better. Give yourself time to rest and heal.

spent last 5 WEEKS in hospital, most of it NPO and on feeding tube.  jeez. very bad infection from leak, and now have a hole in stomach to abdomen. have a drain, waiting for hole to heal.  no picnic, but someone has to be in the small percentage that has problems, right?  still very weak, but trying to hang in there.
