I have a lot of clothes that fit me 100 lbs. ago. I never got rid of them because I always had it in my mind that I'll fit in them again. I can't wait for that!

Hubby and I used to attend re-enacting events and I still had my costume from 16 years ago that I wore in my wedding (yes, we had a Ren Faire themed wedding). I pulled it out the other day when I went to do a spinning/weaving demonstration and low and behold it fit perfectly. That was last month. When I put it on this month, it was just a tad big and now I'm thinking of taking it in somehow. Who knew?

Great...it was fun to shop in my own closet - bins of clothes.

But in also learned that my shape changed - and some clothes did not fit good on me as I was losing weight.  They fit size wise - but did not look good on me.  I supplemented my own own clothes with some I bought in thrift stores, salvation army, etc.

Every couple of months - I would go through my clothes - pick the one that fits well... And spend an additional  20-30 in thrift stores.  Wearing things that fit my changing body really helped me with my body image ...

It was funny to me when I would try on 'curvy' fit and my jeans are saggy in the butt. I guess I'm not curvy anymore!

I've done that the whole way through :) It was definitely great to be able to shop in my own closet lol! It helped financially and then I would shop very cheaply and buy clothes that fit my new shape to supplement my wardrobe as needed.
