This is my first post, I've been a lurker for quite some time.

My surgeon had a round of fasting blood tests run and I got the results back today.  Everything is normal except for 4 things.

Ferritin is high at 241 (range 10-232)

Vit D is low at 18 (range 30-100)

Folate is high

Consultation Weight 246.6

There are certain symbols, like the greater than sign, that OH software doesn't like. If you get a post cut off, it's because you used one of those symbols.

I wouldn't worry about B12, but stop taking any if you have been. It can drop like a rock, really fast. likewise ferritin. That can drop after surgery, and be really hard to get back up. Be happy where yours is. You definitely need D3 though.

Got it, it's weird because my entire post was showing last night when the first commenter replied.

I do have a message into my surgeon and PCP.  I think I will scan the results into my oncologist as well (no cancer, I have an unexplained enlarged thymus that we monitor) since elevated b12 like mine can be indicative of some blood cancers.  I'm hoping it was a fluke and will ask to get tested again.  All my other labs were normal aside from the ferritin, folate and D.
