None of us are perfect though some pretend to be. I prefer not to waste my days making the same stooped mistakes over and over therefore I talk about issues and change them.

Nothing is more boring than an unexamined life that doesn't improve. &

First of all, the DS is the most powerful and aggressive wls out there, and should never be considered for a few vanity pounds.  Your BMI has to be at least 40 to get a DS (some surgeons require 50 BMI).  This is for virgin DS and revision alike.  You simply don't qualify.

Second, DS patients eat very high protein, high fat and very low carb.  Just for kicks, log a day in the life with what you are presently eating (and drinking - including alcohol since that's important to you) to get an idea of whether or not you're willing to make that change to your diet.  To be losing weight, people stay at 50-100 total carbs and 100-150g of protein and 100g of fat.  How close are you to that?  What carbs would you be willing to cut out and how will you meet those protein  and fat goals to keep healthy?

Next, think of what you have right now.  The RNY likes a high protein and low carb lifestyle as well (without so much fat though).  Is there anything you can modify right now to lower your carbs to 50 or less each day (that's what a DSer does when they are trying to lose)?

Bottom line, regain happens with all of us, even DS (at different degrees, but count on it).  If your job requires you to be a size 1, perhaps its time for a career change or a wealthy husband, for you're growing up.  Perhaps it's time to act like a grown-up now.  Clutching your pearls because you're a (gasp) size 7 (OMG) has many rolling their eyes right now, for they will never see that size 7 despite their best efforts that you have said you're unwilling to make for yourself.

Google it... each type of wine varies greatly...

You'd need to look up the wine you like

Red and white - average is one gram per ounce of wine.  Vegetables are all carbs, too.

As i suggested on my other post you should check out Dr. Weiner's videos.  he recommends a plant based protein diet.   it may help you where more surgery won't.

I'll log my food and drink and try to calculate the carbs etc.

6 am breakfast - and 10 am snack three large pieces pepperoni and mushroom Valentine's Day pizza so full fat ( if I made it at home it'd be low fat and full of low fat proteins and veggies - but still caloric) yesterday's breakfast and snack were low fat cheese brown rice and bean whole wheat enchiladas.

Calories  3 pizza slices. 420 each =1260   Carbs 26 each so 78 total

calories enchildas.         Carbs

day drinking ( I'm not working or driving today  and doing Tax appeals which I HATE) 4 glasses red wine 1/2 glass trop 50 4 glasses diet soda  wine - 85 a glass  carbs 3 per glass plus oj

126 a cup / 15 carbs   So total till noon- 318 in drink ( make that 600 because I had almond silk and almost a quart of fat  free milk powder in 4 chai tea lattes this morning.

(being rigorously honest now .. please don't get on my case . ) I drink at least this much every day just rarely out in public because I can get drunk too fast. But I always ingest this many calories in the evening after working. )

so already at noon I'm at 1860 calories. And well over 100 carbs .

Exercise : digging holes in a snow-covered garden in order to sell mail-ordered double day lilies and re peat blooming irises out of season! I'm the only farm on Amazon which does this : and our customers love it :)

yesterday I vigorously hiked an hour with my therapist . Did push-ups this morning and maybe will do Pilates later.

I dare say you are going to be shocked (or maybe not!) when you see how many carbs/calories you are consuming.

When you say 4 glasses of wine, are you measuring out four ounces or are you filling a glass?  Serious question.  Sometimes my glass of wine is truly a wine glass, sometimes it's a tumbler.  Either way, it's a "glass" and either way, it's my bad choice.

My doctor asked me how many drinks a day/week I was having... I would answer truthfully... 2-3... nevermind I used a 24 ounce glass for the vodka/SF mixer (and probably 2-3 ounces of alcohol)... or a huge red wine glass 3/4 way full... they.were.only.2-3.drinks!!!
