If you have no****ched this one you don't want to. We all know about the denial that goes on watching these stories and Lord knows they have had so much pain in their lives but this one was the mother of all denials. When James sat there eating Chinese and talking about he knows he has lost weight and stayed on the program I was WTH? But when he told Dr. Now he didn't understand how he had put on over 100 pounds I had to get my damn it doll out.

My heart broke for the daughter who quit school. She needs to get back NOW and I don't understand why someone has not made sure she went back?

I have never seen Dr. Now raise his voice before, but when he went nuts and blasted James's girlfriend I am sorry she so deserved it. She said he gets upset if she does not bring him what he wants. What is he going to do? I would tell him to get up and go get it himself. He can't! If he screams, walk away! It's not like he can come after you!

To be honest the first thing I did after watching this show was google to see if he was dead. And the additional weight gain was after he almost died with heart failure. That is what my husband died from. COME ON

When Dr. Now said enough, bye bye I didn't blame him. James said he was going to do it....we shall see but I fear his death will come first.

I really wish that they (the show, Dr. Now) were more aggressive about treating the enablers. Like in addition to showing some good faith weight loss, they also required a few family therapy sessions because NO ONE is bed bound by obesity without someone enabling them. And to enable someone that you LOVE by KILLING them with "kindness" you are basically demonstrating some legit mental health challenges*.

I would love it if they weighed the family members and explained that if they are currently overweight (and most if not all are currently overweight), and they are supportive of their family members weight loss, they will also lose weight! Then put THEM on the scale every visit. If the enabler is unwilling to go through this, then at least it's out in the open.

Also, don't you think having this super obese person in their family probably helps the other MO or EO people feel better about their own weight issues?

*I'm not saying that this is the enabler's fault or that to enable someone you must be "crazy", I'm saying that there are some issues that could likely benefit from a little therapy. I've spent a lot of my life working through self defeating issues of my own. I'm not throwing stones!

I keep watching this show because I have a passion to help others that have been through what I have. I agree they may want to concentrate on the head issues more. Since Dr. Now always asked them to lose and show they are making changes makes me think they may do more in the background?

We all have our food demons but we also have decided to take control. No one can but us.

Wait until you see last night's show, Tracey's story. I couldn't fini**** because I had sympathy pains in both my legs. I won't spoil it for you, I might google it to see what happened to her though.

I'm so sorry about your husband Kathy.

I have never been as vocal as I was watching this episode!! He was just SO whiney! I just feel so bad for his daughter. Poor girl has seen more than anyone her age should.

I pray he does. I just have a feeling he won't though. At least not without extensive counseling for him and his girlfriend. AND his daughter!

Unfortunately, it wouldn't surprise me for the daughter to repeat the cycle, with some loser boyfriend, in the future. It's all she knows...

James's GF had 2 children with him, while still married to her abusive ex-husband...

Dysfunctional, much ?!?
