I lost 10 pounds in a week?

I'm doing my pre-op diet, made me break down in tears the first week, no kidding.  Anyways, when I started I was 312.  Two weeks later I only managed to get to 308.  I was very compliant and was quite disappointed in myself.  This morning I weighed myself before my shower and the scale read 298...what?  I quickly showered and drove to my mother-in-law's house to use her scale, cuz mine had to be wrong.  Her scale said the same thing!

Has that happened to any of you before you had your surgeries?  My MIL had a RNY and told me that that's how she'd lose her weight pre-op.  A little and then a lot.  Do you think this will be my pattern after surgery?

My surgeon's goal for me this month was to loose 10 pounds, I just saw him last Thursday and I'm already there.

What do you think?  To good to be true?

I'm gonna celebrate with a big ol' cup of crystal light baby!

I have always, as a pre-op and post-op, lost in chunks.     The scale would stay the same for the longest while, then boom, I'd lose a bunch!    Congratulations on getting your surgery off to a great start weight-loss wise.
