I see you on post on here, and have wondered how you were doing - glad to hear that your darker days are behind you.    You're in good hands with Dr. K.   It seems that he's a wonderful man.

Thank you for sharing your wows! This is such a wonderful life-giving and life-enhancing surgery! I love my new way of life! Love it when people who knew me pre-op don't recognize me anymore!
Smiles!

Yea Julie! I want to be like you one day.   My family thinks I'm crazy, but they are supportive. But I don't think they believe my diabetes will go into remission until they actually see it.

Now you have me drooling thinking about that pig! I love a pig pickin'! I had one at my wedding earlier this year. My husband (who is not from the South) didn't understand what I wanted until he saw it. Now he's a convert.
When push comes to shove....shove hard!

Never regret anything, because at one time it was exactly what you wanted.

Amazing WOWs Julie... Thank you so much for sharing! It gives all of us newbies something wonderful to look forward to, especially when we're still at the point (like yours truly) where the staples are pulling and we're intolerant to everything until our guts figure out what's what now. I love reading your posts, and tend to feel a connection with fellow Michiganders...even more so when they're as sweet and supportive as you are. The OH community wouldn't be the same without you.... Thanks again!

How are YOU feeling, new DS'er?    My sister had Dr. Hares as her surgeon, and she's lost about as much weight as I have.   She's a long tall string bean these days, LOL (I'm 5'4, she's 5'11 and a half!)
