Not that I know of. I used Dr. Rabkin in San Francisco because I think he's the best. He comes to Chicago for our support group meetings a few times a year, too.

Some DSers from this board have used Dr. Marshall in the Peoria, Illinois area and have been pleased with his work.

I'll chime in here. I live in the St. Louis area. There are no DS surgeons in Missouri, from what I found. I'm traveling to California to have my DS. My suggestion to you is, based on your insurance or self pay situation, you know you will need to travel so try to find the best surgeon for you and do your research. Good luck!

Definitely check out the list of surgeons on the dsfacts web site.  There are also other places on the internet to go for more information. (See below.)

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Finally having a revision on 5/11/12.

There's Dr. Inman in Indy.  Its not as far as California and I have heard wonderful things about her work!
