re-sleeve with Dr. Gagner in Europe

Hello All!
I had a re-sleeve with Dr. Gagner this past week and it was so far an excellent experience. Dr. Gagner arranged for me to have the surgery at a hospital in Austria, with a colleague of his who is well respected in Europe. The hospital was lovely, the staff very attentive and meticulous, and the post-surgery care great (no pain!).

I had a lap band in Austrialia in 2006, that didnt work well for me, so I converted to the DS with Dr. Gagner in Florida in 2009. I lost about 1/2 my weight (250lbs - 185) . I contacted Dr. Gagner about a year ago and he explained (well, what i understood) is that due to the irregular shape the stomach is left in post-lap-band, the sleeve part of the DS is sometimes is not as effective. Maybe this could have been prevented if I had the lap band removed, wait for a while, let the stomach get back to a normal shape, and then had the sleeve, but I decided to have the lap band removed and the DS on the same surgery. 

Dr. Gagner told me he was going to be in Europe and he could arrange for the resleeve here (this is where I live now).
