common common channel length?

I had my 1 month post op visit yesterday, and was told I had 2 channels.....one was 125 and one was 175.  I'm not sure what this means.....

This might be one for the vets, but I think he could be talking about your alimentary limb my CC is 100 alimentary limb 135.

You actually have THREE limbs. (*grin*) I'm guessing that your alimentary limb (the one that carries food from your stomach) is 175, and your common channel---the last limb, the one where 'normal' absorption occurs---is 125. You also have a bilio-pancreatic limb that carries bile down to the common channel, and it's usually about 60% of your original total small intestine.

You really should get a copy of your surgical report and keep it in a safe place.

If I remember correctly my surgeon said I have 50 cm CC and a total 100 cm Ailementry limb.
