When did you go to plastic surgeon for consult???

My journey from 12/2010 to now has got me from 411 lbs to 234 lbs. Yeah!!! I want to get to 180 lbs. So another 54 lbs to go. My question is when did you go for your consult for skin removal? Thanks so much.

Congrats on your loss!!

From what I've read, plastic surgeons want you to be at least 18-24 months out from your surgery (which you already are) and stable at your goal weight for about a year before plastic surgery. But different surgeons might use different guidelines.

Thank you for the information. I think I may call one and see what they say. I have a list from the St. Louis, MO area, but really don't know anything about them. I will definitely be checking into them though. Thanks again.

I wouldn't recommend it until your weight is stable for 6 mos. If you get plastics too early and lose more weight, you'll be all jiggly and ugly again.....all that effort and money wasted. Make sure you're done first.
