So almost 5 years after having VSG, im having it revised to DS, which is the surgery I knew almost from day 1 that I should have had. Anyway, I only lost 82 pounds with VSG...and by year 3 was regaining...now Im back up 35 pounds. I found a surgeon in my state that offers DS..and will do my revision. He said I didnt need to have my sleeve redone, just the switch itself. But i feel very little restriction, so im concerned that by having only the switch, i wont loose weight I need to. Thoughts?

I'm sorry you are facing another bariatric surgery. That can't be easy.

Did your surgeon do any kind of assessment of your sleeve to make this decision, such as endoscopy and/or upper GI x-rays? If not, I don't know how he could know whether or not you would benefit from a re-sleeve.

I'll send you more info in a pm.

I had a portion of my sleeve redone. I had an upper GI that showed out pouching in one section. So that got trimmed off.
