Goofy is at 60%

The other races that weekend are still under 50%.  The half will fill a lot more quickly than the full and I am not sure about the relay since this is the first year for it.  If you want to run the Goofy and and have not signed up you should do it quickly.  Once it starts to pick up steam, it will fill up quickly.

Darn, I was going to sign up but yesterday I got laid off... guess I'll have to make a leap of faith and do it anyway!

Yeah I didn't sign up for the Goofy, but I did sign up for the full Marathon.

I need to remain mobile enough to enjoy the vacation with the family while there.
I figure I can suffer one day, but to take two days plus recovery away from them would be no bueno.

I completely see what you are saying.  During my goofy's, the running ruined half the trip.  Of course during the first, I went to Magic Kingdom with the family after the half.  Needless to say, it didn't help for the full.

I have not signed up for anything yet. If they timmed the 5K, i'd be all over it but it's more like a fun run. I'd really like to do the second leg of the relay if anyone is interested in the first leg.

Don't you guys wimp out on me now!

My plan is to do the Goofy at the end of the vacation and then suffer on the way home.

there seems to be some waffling going on :)  i'm still registered for the goofy, we'll probably have the race(s) at the middle of our vacation.  my father (who'll be 71 this summer) is registered for the goofy too, my kids (6 and will be 5) are registered for the kids run, and my mom and wife are planning on walking the half.
