So i'm in Wolverhampton England (just outside of Birmingham) for work, and found through a co-worker a really cool canal with path(s) that wind for miles through the town i'm in.  There were really old locks and bridges, very beautiful.  And the temp!  wow, i forgot how great it is to run in 50's and 60's.  I was planning on running 7 miles this morning, but got a little lost and ended up running 8.14 miles.  Check out the garmin details and you can see a little spur in the middle... yep, i map when/where i get lost :)

Sounds like a great place to run. I got up this morning (also in the low 60's) and ran 5 miles. Then cycled to work. Great way to start the day. Now I get to watch everyone else drag themselves in here and complain about what a tough morning they've had.

4 miles on the elliptical. Dragging the last few days and hard to make myself do anything.

I'm really jealous. It sounds wonderful where you are. I know it's for work, but sometimes it's nice to go someplace different.

Gee, I guess fish and chips in newspaper, sheppards pie, mushy peas, ... don't quite cut it.  Though when I was there (spent my junior year in college in Ireland while my boyfriend was in Birmingham), there were a lot of Indian places.  But yeah, I guess grilled chicken and salad are the best choices.

Taking it easy on the knee so I am sticking to running every other day to make sure I can do my 10K on July4th.  So today was an hour of pysichal therapy on the shoulder only.

i try not to run on back to back days as a general rule for injury prevention.  the only exception i typically make are for special training like the goofy.
