I agreed to do an 8k Trail Run this Sunday.  I've never done a trail run before.  Any words of wisdom?

depends on the trail, but if it's really rough (i.e., really hill and a lot of rocks/roots etc), i would suggest wearing gloves.  it sucks when you have to pick pebbles out of the palms of your hands when you take a digger :)

other than that, have fun!
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Yeah.....

Why do I have these horrible visions of busting up my grill after tripping over tree roots?  LOL

Trail running is an absolute blast! Be sure to pick up your feet, keep your eyes on the trail right in front of you, on concentrate on every step... You will have an awesome time. The thing about trail running is that you either absolutely love it or hate it. There is usually little middle ground. Go rock it sista...

I love trail runs! I did my half in the fall on a trail run. Keep your head down and your feet up. If your clumsy like me wear pants and gloves for it. I spent as much time rolling down hills as I did running

Rolling down the hills?  Funny---

I think I'll like it.  I'm pretty much a tom boy at heart!

I love trail running!  You're gonna have a blast!

like everyone said, head down, feet up.  I haven't fallen yet, but I've skied on my shoes down a hill or two.  GOOD TIMES!

I suggest bug spray.

Have fun! I have never tried a trail run, but I am always looking out for one, I really want to do one, but they are hard to come by down here.
