I'm a runner (kinda...)!!!

I've always wanted to be a "runner".  My husband has run for years and has done countless road races and a marathon.  I tried doing C25K a while back but it was soooo hard since I was so heavy and out of shape-like, I couldn't even get thru week 1.  Anyway, I figured I'd try to run this week since I've dropped some weight hoping it would go a little smoother.  I'm so happy to report that I ran a whole mile!  I just can't believe it.  I feel so good about myself.  I never dreamed that I'd be able to run that much without killing over.  I'm so motivated now (so much better than when you run only 30 seconds and feel like you can't get enough air in to sustain life!)  lol

I already have a running date with my husband for tomorrow morning.  Can't wait!

Way to go!!!  Woohoo!!!

I think a lot of us here have gone through the same problem.  I have had to slowly (and I mean slowly) increase my distance and time.  We all had to start somewhere.

Congrats again on your success

Congratulations. My husband is also a runner and I've been trying to push so I can run with him too. Only I'm still too slow for him, he walks fast while I jog. LOL

Have fun with Hubby tomorrow.
