I ran my First 10k this past weekend in Fort Worth.  I had a chip time of 55:21 I was super stoked.  I can not believe how far I have come.  I am running first 1/2 marathon on 3/25 in Dallas.  I can't wait.  My only problem is the next few days after my long runs about 10 to 12 miles.   I feel like I can not stop eating and it is not always the best choices either.  Any suggestions.

 Congrats on the finish!

As for the eating I kind of get the same way I just make sure I make wise choices throughtout the day. Since I do my long runs at the butt crack of dawn I usually come home and have a real breakfast where nothing is off limits but portion control is followed.

Don't let Dan find out you are in his neck of the woods or he will get you into his spin classes!

Thanks

My long runs are usually on Sunday afternoon while rest of family is napping I go running.  Most of my 3 to 6 mile runs are after work about 6 on M,T,Th,F.  That is when  the big problem of wanting to munch happens.  I have to be at work at 6:15 am so I get up around 5 and my wife is getting into be at same time because she works at night.  I have to do my runs in the evening.
