It's that time of year, and I want some roasted pumpkin seeds!!! I will be one month out on the 3rd.

Is this a no-no?

My DR said no seeds till at least the 3rd month post op. You dont want anything that might hurt your pouch (pinching, poking).

I dont think I would.

Really, they are a no-no. It's a bit rouch for your new anatomy. The anastomosis (the new opening where your intestines are attached to your stomach) is very tender and needs AT LEAST 4 weeks to heal. If you had or have diabetes, it can be much longer. My advice: don't pu**** Not now. Wait until you are at least 12 weeks post op for any rough foods. It's not worth it. A rupture at the anastomosis site is very bad ---- VERY BAD. Pumpkin seeds taste good in March too ....

Very good then, I'll wait! Not worth hurting myself.

I'm just happy that I saw that walmart sells pumpkin seeds right next to the sunflower seeds. March it is! :)
