I was just sitting here at my desk, frustrated with all the protein powders, drinks, bars, that I've purchased since my WLS and thinking "WOW someone needs to start marketing a "NOT SO SWEET" brand of quality Whey Isolate foods!"

Just think, If we all threw in a couple hundred dollars (wait a sec while I go sell some plasma) we could do this ourselves! I mean clearly there are plenty of sources of plain whey isolate, we just need to create the rest using a FRACTION of the sweetener!

Here's my fantasy line up:

  1. Coffee with Cream (flavored with REAL coffee, no sweetener used)
  2. Tea with cream (I'm thinking the "cream" will be required to cover the whey flavor)
  3. Dark Chocolate (like all the chocolate protein powders but with a sweetness level comparable to 60% cocoa bars!)
  4. Vanilla with low sweet index that would be easy to sub for almond milk etc...
  5. Milk - yep... just mix this powder (or pour it from a carton) and you can use it just like 2% milk...
  6. Berry, lemon, lime, orange, fruit powders that have about 1/3 the sweetness
  7. Truffle sized dark chocolate nuggets with 10g protein

What would your fantasy protein concoctions be like?

I find optimum nutrition's double rich chocolate to be a darker chocolate than most. And you could add cocoa powder to make it darker.
