So, does anyone actually see you naked?

I thought that subject line was ambiguous, yet provocative, enough to garner some responses.
More specifically, then ...

we are referred to the bariatric centres by (generally) our primary care physicians, who have seen "all of us".  They know our bodies, have a record of our medical conditions, etc.  For those of us who have annual physicals, they've seen us naked.

Once referred to the bariatric centre, we get orientation meetings, nutritionist appointments, sleep apnea appointments, scope appointments,  nurse appointments, psychiatric/social work appointments, whatever else happens, and eventually, surgeon appointments.

My question?  Does any health care provider along the way, do a physical exam?  Should they?
Would they?

It just seems to me that I've not seen any mention of a full body look.

It's not so much a question, as a conversation starter, I suppose.  Thoughts?

Thanks!

Marilyn

Mostly my live-in common law. Unless I go public swimming.

Oh! Ummm... I meant in the change room, not in the pool. LOL!

hmmm, I don't feel like my gp doc has seen me naked.  Sure, bits and pieces during a physical exam, but not a whole picture.
The centres interview you and take a health history and then decide from their what tests you may need.  They don't do a physical since that is your gp's job, although I did have the nurse physcially exam my ankles for signs of any swelling and she pushed around on my abdomen.  The surgeon that i met last week also asked to see my midsection and pushed around my belly button area to make sure he didn't feel a hernia.
Otherwise, no its a very hands off process!
