I had my laptop and cell phone with me and used both. The nurse plugged in the phone charger for me the first night. My fiance took the laptop home with him at night though, just to be safe.

I've been told by a friend that they do 2 surgeries a day and make sure that both patients are in the same room. So I think you will be room mates.

Actually they do three surgeries a day when they did mine. When I went to visit with April when she had her surgery, there were three patients that day too.

However, if you are not rooming together you can get up and go for a little walk and visit with each other.

There were three patients when I went on April 13th too - cheekygal, me and my roomie. You will likely meet each other walking along the hallway! :-)
