How's your intake of protein going? Are you able to tolerate other foods as well?

Are you getting enough fluids?

are you getting your vitamins in?

Are you walking, and resting?

How's your bloodwork?

Monica is asking all the same questions I was thinking.....
I always noticed that when my protein intake was low- I was sluggish and tired.

If I am not mistaken you have a house full of kids too so that alone is tiring!!!

Are you getting your vitamins in?
Fluids??

Hope you feel better soon...It could also be your body trying to slow you down so it can catch up to the changes!!!

See you at the next meeting???

Take Care!!!!

Hi,

I found that the first 6-8 weeks post-op I needed a nap every afternoon.  I also slept well each night.  I figured that it was the time needed for healing.

My lab work was good.  I was able to eat well, and keep hydrated (minimum of 2 litres per day).

If you find that this continues too long or makes you worried, you could call the APN for advice.

Your body is telling you to rest, you did just have major surgery after all.  Often we do too much because we feel pretty damn good then it bites us in the ass and makes us take a step back and take it easy for a bit.  If you are tired then nap and don't pu****

I'm with Tracey on this one. Indeed your body is trying to tell you something. Take this opportunity to rest. Sleep as much as you need to. You have major healing going on.

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

Hi Brigitte

I'm almost 3 weeks post-op & I also feel quite tired, usually in the afternoon. I think that it's just an after-effect of having had surgery such a short time ago. The body is stil healing and rest is part of the healing process. When I feel really tired I give in and take a little nap & feel much more alert afterwards.
