Mood swings

I find myself getting severe mood swings. I get angry and fustrated quickly. I think I am lacking something in my diet.

I use to get the same way pre-surgery when I was hungry. Maybe I need to eat more carbs?

Waiting for my blood test results to get back.

Hi Jason!

Hi get these mood swings a lot, but it is when I am to have my period, I don't think that applies to you lol!!! :)

I hope your blood tests are fine.  Have you tried eating more carbs to see if it would change your mood, at least for a 2-3 days period?

Good luck with this, mood swings are horrible!

Karine.

Nah.  You're hormonal is all. It happens with rapid weight loss. Imagine yourself as a woman who is PMS'ing. It'll pass. :)

Now isn't that refreshing news - a man that admits he has mood swings.

Sounds like Karen M. is right on the money, there is not enough info out there about the actualy emotional side of rapid weight loss, all we ever hear about is how wonderful it is. Hang in Jason and thanks for your input.....I am sure your day will improveespecially now that you have put this out here.

Oh, it's emotional alright. LOL

But the mood swings are from hormones being released from fat cells as we lose weight.  The other emotional crap comes later. LOL

I agree that its the hormones stored in fat cells being released with weight loss.  If you feel you need more carbs, make sure you eat the complex type!

I honestly think this is normal.  As Karen and other stated, all those hormones that are stored in your fat cells no longer have a home so they are wrecking havoc in your body.  Now, you are officially acting like a woman  LOL.

Seriously, I am not a crier and I was in tears all day last friday due to stress and frustration at work and couldn't figure out why I couldn't get my **** together.  then it clicked.

Also, I am sure you are on this but I know you are working out so you need to make sure you are taking enough to support that.  Good luck with the blood work!
